Getting Started

Everything you need to know to start earning with PromptBid.

Integrate the PromptBid SDK into your application, then configure ad placements where you want monetization. The SDK automatically handles real-time bidding with advertisers. You earn 60% of every CPM dollar on the free tier from day one, scaling to 75% at enterprise volume (1M+ impressions/month). Monitor your earnings in real-time via the builder portal dashboard.
Here's how real-time bidding works on PromptBid: Your app sends a bid request to our platform with context about the user and content. Multiple advertisers compete simultaneously by submitting their bids. The highest bidder wins the auction and their ad is delivered in under 100ms. This happens for every impression, ensuring optimal revenue for your application.
PromptBid's revenue sharing model is simple and transparent: builders on the free tier keep 60% of every CPM dollar, while the platform takes 40%. Enterprise builders (1M+ impressions/month) keep 75%. There are no minimums and no hidden fees. As you scale, your revenue share grows with you.

Builder Guides

Comprehensive guides for maximizing your earnings and improving your auction performance.

Getting started is fast: Install the SDK package into your application, then initialize it with your API key from the builder portal. Call the bid endpoint with your user and content context, and the SDK returns the winning ad. Render the ad response in your UI and you're earning revenue. Most integrations take less than 5 minutes to complete.
Maximize your earnings by including conversation context in bid requests so advertisers can show more relevant ads. Set appropriate frequency caps to avoid ad fatigue and maintain user experience. Handle timeouts gracefully by implementing fallback content and retry logic. These practices improve fill rates, advertiser satisfaction, and ultimately your revenue.
Choose which ad categories appear in your application from the builder portal. Block sensitive categories that don't fit your brand or audience. Prioritize relevant verticals where advertisers compete most actively, which drives higher CPMs. You can change category settings anytime, so experiment to find the optimal mix for your user base.
PromptBid supports two ad formats to fit different use cases. Native format delivers contextual recommendations that blend seamlessly with your interface. Sponsored format highlights sponsored actions within your application. Each format competes in auctions, and winning ads are delivered to maximize your earnings.

API Reference

Complete API documentation for developers integrating with PromptBid.

PromptBid implements OpenRTB 2.6 standard for real-time bidding. Send BidRequest objects with device, user, and impression data. Receive BidResponse with winning ads. Our implementation includes AI-specific extensions for conversation context, model parameters, and completion tokens. Full schema documentation available in the API docs.
All REST endpoints require authentication using your API key. Primary endpoint is /api/v1/bid for requesting ads. Use /api/v1/impressions for tracking, /api/v1/analytics for performance data, and /api/v1/account for account management. Rate limits apply based on your tier. See API docs for detailed endpoint specifications and examples.
Our SDKs for JavaScript, Python, and Go handle authentication, request formatting, and response parsing. Initialize with your API key and call the bid() method with request context. SDKs include built-in retry logic, timeouts, and error handling. Full API reference with code examples available at docs.promptbid.ai.
Configure webhooks in your account settings to receive real-time notifications for campaign events, billing alerts, and platform status changes. Webhooks are signed with HMAC-SHA256 for security verification. Implement retry handling for webhook failures. Test webhooks using the sandbox environment before deploying to production.

Billing & Payments

Information about payouts, revenue splits, and payment methods.

Payouts happen automatically every Friday via bank transfer. You must have a minimum balance of $20 to receive a payout. Amounts below the threshold carry over to the following week. Add your bank account details in the Payments section of your builder portal. Payouts typically settle within 1-2 business days.
Builders on the free tier earn 60% of gross ad revenue (PromptBid keeps 40%). Enterprise builders with 1M+ impressions/month earn 75% (PromptBid keeps 25%). For example, if your app generates $100 in CPM revenue on the free tier, you receive $60. At enterprise scale, you receive $75. No hidden deductions.
Go to Account Settings in the builder portal and navigate to the Payments tab. Click Add Bank Account and enter your routing number, account number, and account holder name. Verify the account by confirming small deposits PromptBid sends. You can manage multiple accounts and set a primary destination for payouts.
Access all invoices and tax documents from the Billing section of your builder portal. Download monthly invoices for accounting records. Generate 1099 forms or equivalent tax documents required for your jurisdiction. All documents are available in PDF format. Contact support if you need invoices in a different format.

Account & Security

Manage your account, security settings, and privacy preferences.

Enable two-factor authentication from Account Settings for enhanced security. PromptBid supports authenticator apps and SMS codes. Setup takes less than 2 minutes. When enabled, you'll need to provide a second factor when logging in. We recommend enabling 2FA to protect your account and earnings from unauthorized access.
Generate and revoke API keys from your builder portal. Each key is tied to your account and grants access to PromptBid APIs. Rotate keys periodically for security. Never share API keys publicly or commit them to version control. Use environment variables to store keys securely in your application.
PromptBid uses contextual targeting without user tracking, cookies, or fingerprinting. We don't collect personal data. Advertisers target based on conversation context only. Our architecture is GDPR and CCPA compliant by default. No data processing agreements needed. Your users' privacy is built into the platform.
All ads on PromptBid are reviewed by our moderation team before serving to ensure quality and brand safety. Use the builder portal to block specific ad categories that don't fit your application. Report inappropriate ads directly to our support team. We maintain strict compliance with advertising standards and platform policies.
