What is PromptBid?
PromptBid is the Ad Exchange for AI Applications. It's a real-time bidding platform that connects AI app builders with advertisers who want to reach their users. Using OpenRTB 2.6 standards, PromptBid enables contextual ad auctions that optimize for both user experience and advertiser ROI.
How does PromptBid work?
When a user interacts with an AI app, PromptBid's SDK captures conversation metadata (categories, keywords, topics). This triggers a real-time auction where advertisers bid for the impression. The highest bidder's ad is displayed to the user in real-time. The revenue is split with 60% to the builder on the free tier (40% platform), scaling to 75% for enterprise builders (1M+ impressions/month).
Is PromptBid free to use?
PromptBid is free to integrate for builders. We only take a commission from the ad revenue generated. Advertisers pay for impressions on a cost-per-impression (CPM) or cost-per-click (CPC) basis depending on their campaign configuration. No monthly fees or setup costs.
What AI apps are supported?
PromptBid works with any AI application that can integrate our SDK. This includes LLM chat apps, coding assistants, writing tools, research platforms, and any other AI-powered application. Our SDK is available for web, mobile, and server-side implementations.
How is my data protected?
PromptBid is privacy-first . We only collect conversation metadata (categories and keywords) - never personally identifiable information. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We comply with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, SOC 2 Type II, and ISO 27001 standards.
Is PromptBid's platform open source?
Our SDK and client libraries are open source on GitHub. The core platform infrastructure remains proprietary to ensure reliability and security. All open source components are available under permissive licenses for transparency and community contribution.
How do I integrate PromptBid into my app?
Integration is simple: 1) Sign up as a builder, 2) Install our SDK via npm or script tag, 3) Initialize with your publisher ID, 4) Configure ad placement in your UI, 5) Map conversation context with our event API. Full documentation is available at /docs with code examples for React, Vue, Svelte, and vanilla JavaScript.
What's the revenue share for builders?
PromptBid offers builders 60% of all ad revenue on the free tier. The platform keeps 40% to cover infrastructure, operations, and support.
